Privacy policy

What this website collects, where it goes, and how to stop it. Plain English, because a policy nobody can read is worse than none.

This page covers this website. It was written by going through what the site actually does, field by field. If something here does not match what you see, email us at hello@zerotoagent.com and we will fix it.

The short version

  • We collect what you type into the form: your name, your email, your phone number, and how many doors you manage.
  • That goes straight to our team chat so a person can call you back the same day. There is no sales database in between.
  • We do not sell your information.
  • We use ad measurement tools from Google and Meta, and a booking calendar run by cal.com.
  • You can tell us to stop contacting you at any time, and you can ask us to delete what we hold.

Who we are

Zero to Agent, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. ParcWork is our product, and this is its website.

We do not publish a street address or a phone number, so email is the way to reach us about anything on this page: hello@zerotoagent.com. Write to us there and a person reads it.

What this policy does not cover

The live demo opens a different app at a different address. It runs on sample data. There is no real tenant, owner, or vendor information in it.

If you become a client, the service we run for you is covered by the agreement we sign with you, not by this page.

What you give us on purpose

When you fill in the form on one of our pages, you send us four things:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number
  • The door count band you pick, for example 50 to 200 doors

We also record that you ticked the consent box. The box is never ticked for you. If it is empty, the form does not go through.

There is one more box on the form that you will never see. It is hidden, and only automated spam programs fill it in. If it comes back filled, we throw the whole submission away and send nothing on to anyone.

If you book a call instead, you type into a calendar made by cal.com that we show inside our page. What you type there goes to cal.com first, and they pass the booking to us. Their privacy policy covers that step.

What the site collects on its own

Which ad brought you here

When you arrive from an ad, the web address carries tracking tags on it: Google’s gclid, Meta’s fbclid, and the standard campaign tags (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, utm_term). We save those in your browser’s session storage, which your browser empties when you close the tab. They are sent along with your form or your booking so we can tell which ad paid for the call. They do not say who you are.

Your IP address, briefly

Your IP address is the number your internet connection uses. We use it for one thing: stopping one machine from submitting the form more than five times in ten minutes. It is held in the memory of the server that answered you and it goes away when that server restarts. We do not write it to a file, we do not attach it to your form, and we do not send it to anyone.

Page views and clicks

Our host, Vercel, counts page views and a few named clicks for us, such as opening the demo or clicking a booking button. Vercel says this tool does not use cookies. It is not tied to your name.

Ad measurement

We use Google Tag Manager, which is the container Google and Meta’s measurement tags run inside. When it is switched on it loads on every page of this site. When you send the form or finish a booking, we hand it three things: a random one-time ID for that event, your door count band, and the ad tags above. We do not hand it your name, your email, or your phone number.

Where your information goes

  • Slack, our team chat. Your name, email, phone, door count and the ad tags are posted into a channel the moment you submit. That message is what triggers the callback.
  • Vercel, our host. If Slack cannot be reached, your form is written into our server log instead, so the enquiry is not lost, and someone picks it up from there.
  • cal.com, if you book a time.
  • Google and Meta, for ad measurement, as described above.

There is no customer database and no third party form service holding your details. That is deliberate. The shortest path from your form to a person calling you back is the whole point of it.

Phone calls, texts, and email

This is the exact wording you agree to when you tick the box on the form:

We use it for your enquiry. That means a call back, a text, or an email about the thing you asked about. We do not add you to a bulk mailing list from this form.

You can stop it at any time. Tell whoever calls you, reply STOP to a text, or email hello@zerotoagent.com. We stop.

Cookies

Our own code does not set any cookies. The ad tags described above sit in session storage, which your browser clears when you close the tab.

Three outside tools can set their own cookies: Google Tag Manager, the Google and Meta tags it loads, and the cal.com calendar shown on our booking pages. Your browser settings control those. Blocking them does not break the form.

The fonts on this site are served from our own address, so reading a page here does not call Google for them.

How long we keep it

Honest answer: nothing in our system deletes it on a fixed schedule today. Your details sit in our team chat history, in our host’s server logs if Slack was unreachable, and with cal.com if you booked. Our host and our chat tool each age their own records out on their own timetable, not ours.

If you want yours gone, email hello@zerotoagent.com and we will delete what we hold and tell you when it is done.

We do not sell your information

We have never sold a list and we do not plan to. Nobody pays us for your details.

One honest footnote for readers in California. Using Google and Meta measurement tools can count as “sharing” for targeted advertising under California law, even though no money changes hands. If you want that off, see your choices below.

Your choices

Wherever you live, you can email hello@zerotoagent.com and ask us to:

  • Tell you what we hold about you
  • Correct anything that is wrong
  • Delete it
  • Stop calling, texting, or emailing you
  • Stop using your visit for ad measurement

Ask in plain words. You do not need to quote a law at us, and we will not treat you any differently for asking.

In Canada, the federal privacy law is PIPEDA. It gives you the right to see what a business holds about you and to have it corrected, and it gives us 30 days to answer. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

In the United States, several states, California among them, give you the right to know what is collected, to have it deleted or corrected, to opt out of your information being used for targeted ads, and to not be treated worse for exercising any of that. Email us and we will handle it the same way for everyone, wherever you live.

You can also turn off ad personalisation in your Google account settings and in your Facebook ad preferences, which affects far more than this site.

Children

This is a business site aimed at property management companies. It is not for children, and we do not knowingly collect anything from a child. If you think a child sent us something, email us and we will delete it.

Keeping it safe

Here is what is actually in place, and nothing more:

  • The site is served over an encrypted connection by our host.
  • We set browser security rules on every page: the site cannot be framed inside someone else’s page, file types cannot be second guessed, camera, microphone and location are switched off, and we do not pass the full page address to other sites you click through to.
  • The form limits how large a submission can be, how long each field can be, and how often one machine can submit.
  • Everything you type is treated as plain text before it is posted into our chat, so nothing typed into the form can turn into a working link or a command on our side.
  • A small team reads the leads.

No website is perfectly safe, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. What we can tell you is what we do, which is above.

Where your information is handled

We are in Toronto. The companies we use, Vercel, Slack, Google, Meta and cal.com, are United States companies, and your information may be stored on servers outside Canada, including in the United States. Courts and governments there can reach information stored there under their own laws.

Changes to this page

If we change it, we change the date at the top. If we change something that matters, such as who receives your information, we will say so on the page rather than quietly editing a line.
